There are over 170 names of Jesus, we will look at 86 (mostly ones capitalized)
- Many types in OT, not going to look at those, only names
Purpose of this series:
- Heb 12:3, so we will “consider Him”.
- I Pet 2:7, to make Him more “precious” to us.
Scriptural Order (When introduced as Jesus’ name):
1. Shiloh, Gen 49:10 (means “Peace bringer”)

A Palestinian red field flower, He is a flower in this world of sin
- Mt 6:28-29, Christ used as an example of the beauty of creation
- He is the Lily in our valleys, Ps 23:4, lean on Him!

God’s name is also Lord, besides LORD: James 5:11, “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”
